Duties include:
• Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of a team of travel consultants
• Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other departments
• Supervise and motivate your team to reach highest levels of success
• Prepare and submit reports regarding sales goals, quotas, projects and personnel
• Work with department manager and director to set monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
• Participate in hiring and training new staff
• Provide ongoing training of new products, methods and procedures
• Make transportation and accommodation reservations using computerized reservation and ticketing system
• Promote particular destinations, tour packages and other travel services
• Investigate new travel destinations, hotels and other facilities and attractions
• Provide travel tips regarding tourist attractions, foreign currency, customs, languages and travel safety
• Sell travel insurance
We are looking for key players with these specific requirements:
• 1 to 2 years previous experience in travel sales
• Successful track record in customer service, energetic personality each and every day, with
• knowledge of the North American Travel market
• 1 year of previous supervisory experience in a team oriented environment
• Career oriented, searching for growth and advancement
• Willingness to learn, exceptional student mentality
• Excellent English communication skills
• Must be computer literate and comfortable using MS Office applications as well as travel software
Assets for applicants include:
• Valid license to sell travel insurance in British Columbia
• Post Secondary education, preferably with travel industry schooling is an asset
Salary: $17.01 Hourly for 40 hours per week
